Lord Rhalyf Neres is dogged by rumors of having Kindreth--Night Elf--blood in his family tree. Too powerful and skilled with magic to not have some of the dread Kindreth ability, many whisper this behind his back, but not too loudly as he is the best friend and confident of King Aquilan Fairlynn. But Rhalyf isn't upset by such rumors, because they steer people away from the truth: he's a full-blooded Night Elf, nephew to the great and terrible Night King Xelroth Vex. A failed coup has caused Rhalyf to leave the Under Dark and hide himself among the Kindreth's old enemies, the Aravae. 

Now, he uses magic to hide his white hair and red eyes and protect him from the Sun's dangerous rays while he pretends to be the sunniest of Aravae. His new life has a lot of perks and he is not going to give those up without a fight. But what if he's not the only Night Elf on the surface world? And what if that other Night Elf isn't so careful about keeping their shared secret safe?  What if that other Night Elf doesn't even know he is one? That could cause Rhalfy's carefully constructed world to come crashing down.
