FREYA BRAND
Freya Brand was an advocate.
She was a federal prosecutor involved in the Organized and White Collar Crime Division in San Francisco. Her work had her as a central figure in putting together a case against the Heian Mofa Triad, a new Triad that started operating in San Francisco with frightening power. Despite her work and profile, after she is killed under mysterious circumstances in an alleyway, the police claim that her death is a simple case of the Ghost disease and nothing to do with her work as a prosecutor.
She was working closely with Jian Chu, a detective with Hong Kong’s Organized Crime and Triad Bureau. Her emails with him are what draws her son to speak to the detective once he comes to China.
