CASPIAN HARTLEY

Caspian Harley and his beloved companion, Hermes, a Persian cat, are not fans of Illarion or his big, dumb, slobbering dogs. They’re both cat people, after all. Classy. Intellectual. Quiet. Maybe a little persnickity.  While Illarion is… well, loud, boisterous, energetic, occasionally overbearing and maybe, just maybe, a little arrogant… (It’s not arrogant if it is true! Illarion grins)

One of Caspian’s favorite activities is reading with Hermes curled on his lap preferably with a fire going and it raining outside. The last book Illarion read? Well, he can’t remember, but it was something manly.  Probably about war. Definitely about war and how to trounce one’s enemies. (He might want to re-read that book now that Hermes has him in his sights.)

As much as Illarion could never imagine his true love and the perfect bond-mate for Vozyth being Caspian, Caspian would believe it even less. Will these two find that the thing they were looking for comes in a package that neither ever thought they wanted?

  • As someone who grew up with cats and around dogs, I am going to put in a bet that Hermes actually adores VisVan and the pets get along sooner than the men. They just need to work out the whole no pouncing on the kitty unless invited thing.

    Illusion reads... war epics and short format graphic novels. *cough* comics*cough* And reports. I get the feeling he has a Shione of his own in the form of a shorty nerdy girl who hands him tome length reports with one page summaries at the front. Jury is still out on how often he gets past the summary.

    I think Illarion will have as much fun getting Caspian's head out of the books as Caspian has reading to Illarion. Guess they'll just have to bond over lamb and long walks in the snow-filled forests.

  • He's ginger! Yes! I love gingers! And he looks nothing like what Illarion was imagining when he talked about his ideal mate. I wonder if Caspian would still appreciate being draped in diamonds and furs though?
