Chapter 15: Those Left Behind of the yaoi, scifi novel, The Abyss, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com! In this chapter, Anarion and Abaddon have made it away from the obvious danger, but what they find when things get quiet, is far, far worse.
A note to new people: As you might notice, this is Version 2 of The Abyss. The site is structured so that you all read the first drafts of the novel. You get to see the rawest of the raw and then your feedback helps shape the final product. The Abyss is one of the favorites on the site, but as it is a scifi novel, more back story and world building were needed than what I had accomplished in V.1. I was dissatisfied and decided I would "tweak" the beginning of the novel, but instead ended up writing something new, which caught on. The strengths of this V2 will give you a taste as to how the novels will change, based on your feedback, and all of our getting to know the characters.
Some have asked as to whether I will go back and finish V.1. I'm not sure. I definitely want to get the boys off Talos IV before I make any decisions.
In any event, see how all you have helped make this story that much better and keep that feedback coming! Let me know if you need anything.

Desiring to know what the Ruling Class are up to, the boys get into more than they bargained for.
SOME COOL STUFF: As you might have noticed, I've been lacking on the replies to comments. Please know that I read and cherish every one and want to reply, but I have been busy doing some cool stuff for the future for you guys. Namely, I am working to manuscript the entire first book of the manga for The Dark Earth! T.Wolv is convinced she can finish it in time for the November convention in Singapore, which she will be attending on behalf of Raythe Reign.
I cannot wait to get this first book of manga truly done. You all have seen the pages so far, but oh just wait! I swear, I didn't think she could get better, but she's proven me wrong.
Also, I am adding chapters to The Hunt! As Mathia is drawing, I am thinking of something I need to add in that wasn't there in this original version so I'm working on that as well.
Finally, I am planning out the next six (yes SIX) books I want to work on. Somewhere in here, I've got to take time to edit the ones I'm finished with. Lol1
But in any event, I wanted to catch you all up with this so you'd know what I've been doing.

Chapter 42: The Danger of Preconceptions of the yaoi, fantasy novel, The Dark Earth, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com! In this chapter, Aidan is both horrified yet satisfied to see the power he actually wields. But it is Sevra's reaction that puts him back on his heels.
This chapter surprised me. I've had this happen a couple of times in my writing career. It could be brilliant or ... or I haven't laid the groundwork for where the story wants to go. Sevra as a character has been obscure to me and he may now just be coming into focus.
We are actually coming to the close of Book 1 of The Dark Earth. I have huge ideas for how I want to do the second version of it to go, which will I believe please all of you. But because it will be such a change to a certain degree, I may actually post the second version on the site then edit off site afterward (like I'm doing with Abyss V.2). I've let T. Wolv know my plans and she's all for it. But I'm curious about what all of you are going to think.
Don't worry though, unlike Abyss V.1, Dark Earth V1 will be finished. The first book anyways! So be on the lookout for that in the nearish future!

Chapter 10: New Experiences of the yaoi, urban fantasy novel, Drakon, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com! In this chapter, Sebastian is forced to serve Shimada at dinner. On his knees. Without his shirt. It just gets better (or worse) from there.
As an aside to new members who didn't go through this with us before: typos. I know they are there and I wish I could give you perfect work, but alas, I cannot. The issue is not a beta, but my schedule.
Not to woe is me (as I set the schedule!) but I literally post after I've written the work and hundreds of you read it before the next day when a beta could potentially look at it. In the past, I would then have to go back and edit (after you've already read the chapter with the typos) that next night or next week whenever the beta got the work to me and I could look at it. Problem was that I would have to skimp on writing in order to edit, which no one liked. I actually work full time in addition to the site (I know boo hoo, but this is part of the reason!) so my focus when I'm on the site is on really writing (and the hundreds of other things the site requires) rather than typos.
Basically, its a choice between more chapters or less typos and after doing this for awhile and getting your feedback, more chapters wins out. If there's something really egregious (like switched names - I've done that annoyingly enough) please leave me a message in the comments and I'll fix it.
Thank you all for bearing with me here. I truly appreciate your feedback and am grateful for it. Now go and read some good Drakon stuff (hopefully with less typos than normal)!

For those who are new (and there are a ton of you), you'll notice two versions of The Abyss. V.2 is the one being updated for now. I had a brain storm that lead to a rewrite of this novel. It will give you an idea of what to expect when the novels are recast for individual sale. Your thoughts, responses, etc. help me make the novels even better. The Abyss V.2 is a prime example. Couple of questions that came up:
(1) If you click on the Latest Update sometimes the chapters don't show up on the left hand side. I'm having Dan look into that.
(2) Yes, the books will all come in paperback and e-pub versions. They will be significantly different and improved based on your feedback. Check out The Abyss V.2 to get a taste of that. But I'll let you know how different and if you'll want to use your free book passes to get them or not.
(3) We've had an influx of a ton of new Members, which is awesome. If you've recommended the site to a friend and they've signed up, let me know. I'd like to thank you in some way with a free month, etc. Also, I have Dan carefully watching the site to see when/if we'll need a larger server to handle all the traffic. Rather shocking and awesome, but there it is!
