Chapter 27: Battle of Wills of the yaoi, scifi vampire novel, The Abyss, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com.  Anarion reacts furiously to Abaddon's actions in stopping him from going on the first Jump on Black Heart, but he has a sneaking suspicion that he is the one paying for his decision to push the Kin commander away.

THE POLL:  The Abyss has it!  Three chapters are scheduled this month.  You will notice a new poll has been posted for March.  You'll also notice that there is no Abyss nor Price for Passage option.  The reason for the first is that once a novel is picked its off the poll list for two months so other people's favorites get a chance.  As to Price for Passage ... it'll be ending soon.  Like this week most probably.  So that's why it's off the table.

March's schedule is now up.  The only shaky thing is the last week as I am going out of town on business and may have to switch a few things around.  But we'll see.

Chapter 26: Winning and Losing of the yaoi, vampire, scifi novel, The Abyss, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Anarion realizes that he has only one chance at conquering the Maze and being allowed to Jump onto Black Heart.  But will that one chance actually lead to disaster?

Notice that the weekly schedule for this upcoming week has been posted (with another Abyss chapter on Tuesday). I will be posting the full month AFTER I find out what the extra chapter will be based on your voting.  So don't forget to vote in the poll on the front page, bottom right corner for what novel will get that extra chapter!

Chapter 14: Prince of Fire, Prince of Ice of the yaoi urban fantasy novel, The Darkening, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Dylan is getting to watch Karidon, something few have been allowed to do.  But while he is facing his own fears of intimacy and otherness, the crime lord confesses things that frighten and draw him even nearer.

This chapter went darker than I intended and longer, which is why it took so long to get to you.  But for the overall story arc its a good thing and will be interesting to read.  I swear though steamy happy sex is coming.  Lol!

One of the most wonderful thing about www.RaytheReign.com is the art.  I am personally blown away by the talent of the people who have agreed to work with me to provide the Members with something beautiful to look at.  It so adds to the work.  But one thing that has surprised me is how these really great artists have improved.  In two cases, they have improved so much, you can actually see the progression in the panels of the mangas and consequently, the earlier pages have to be redone, because I don't want people to have to wait for all this win.

Let me show you what I mean:

You'll notice there's some nice textures and body language is interesting.  The emotions are quite nice as well. I like a lot of the realism as well. This page in my mind was the best it could be.  But then Jei's style improved ...

Notice the more sophisticated toning and the greater detail especially with the scar.  Notice also the more interesting way Jei is using the text to really show emotion.  But you ain't seen nothing yet.

Drum roll please!  This is the latest page.  Look at Dane's face (man at top).  My god, the detail, the emotion, the realism, everything about it is spectacular.  Even the way the page is laid out adds to the emotional content and impact.  This was the page that started me saying to Jei, uhm, you've improved so vastly.  Even though the early pages are good, these later ones are ... WOW.  Do you want to redo the early ones?

So that's when he decided to kill me ...

But it was worth it, because he thinks he may just follow my advice.  After he kills me.

Chapter 35: Scent of Gasoline of the paranormal m/f novel, Burn, is posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  Xander and Cassie rush to their friends' sides as they believe they are in danger from Richard Delamere.  Will they find them in time?  Or will things just get worse when they do?

Chapter 9: Unwanted Knowledge of the yaoi, superhero/supervillain novel, The Lightless, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Damien and Jamie finally meet with the leader of the Ruling Class, Joaquin Brask.  What he wants and why are revealed ... in part!

SITE PROBLEMS:

(1) Do not use Internet Explorer and expect everything on the site to work.  We are constantly having bugs with that browser.  We fix things and the bugs come back.  Please use another browser like Firefox or Chrome.

(2) IPad issues with the radial buttons.  We are working on a fix, but its been illusive. 

(3) The magically vanishing indexes if you're not logged in (or using IE).  Dan has nearly bashed his brains out to fix this, but for those of you who may have noticed the indexes of the story magically disappear if you are not logged in and click on one of them.  We have no idea why this is happening which brings me to ...

Dan is going to redo the site in the future from the ground up to fix all the bizarre buggy ridiculous coding the previous designers managed to mess up.  We are awaiting some updates and what Dan will do is literally rebuild the site on his own server.  When its finished, he will port it over.  I'll let you know more when it's happening.  The more we uncover of what they did, the worse it is so this is the only thing Dan can do without killing himself.

Chapter 31: The Promise of Something More of the yaoi fantasy novel, The Erl-King, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Scott needs to know if Jordan seduced him because he was ordered to by Alric or if the secretary truly desired him. Equal parts fear and anger fuel him, as Scott challenges the older man to tell him the truth both to Scott and himself.

Chapter 13: Winning and Losing of the yaoi, scifi, vampire novel, Price for Passage, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Baran has captured Jason.  Unless Chase comes to him willingly, he will snap Jason's neck ... and then he will take Chase with him anyways.  In this potentially second to last chapter, see the final battle against the vampiric Kin leader, Baran.

This novel is almost done.  Which means you MIGHT see something more on it sooner rather than later.  Don't worry it won't bump anything. Just be on the lookout for another extra.

Chapter 32: Out of the Frying Pan of the yaoi, mystery novel, The Artifact, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  Dane has been caught by his father and the scarred man, Railon Cassidies.  Will he be able to escape them? And if he does, will he only land himself into greater danger?

This is an extra long chapter to thank all of you for your patience and indulging me in a last minute addition of the new yaoi novel, Drakon, this weekend.  If you haven't, please check that out as well.

Also, the inimitable T. Wolv has created another "doodle" of Anarion in the Maze.  I hope you enjoy her vision of that dangerous place.

You will notice that things are shifted one update session, i.e, The Artifact is on Wednesday, etc.  I will try and get back on track by writing something early, but I'm not promising that.  Plus I'd rather spend time on longer chapters.

Chapter 3: Reacquaintance of the yaoi urban fantasy novel, Drakon, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Fallon Gedeon, the oldest of the Gedeon brothers, who has been away for ten years, has returned.  He and Sebastian begin an unlikely friendship based partly on something Sebastian did as a child and a kindness Sebastian's mother did for Fallon.

Chapters 1 and 2 of the new yaoi, urban fantasy novel, Drakon, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this Members Only yaoi novel, Sebastian King loses his father in a terrible car crash while his mother is sent into a strange catatonic state.  Before his father dies, he repeats one word over and over again: drakonim.  Sebastian later learns that this strange word means dragons.  What could his father mean?  And does the ancient and aristocratic Gedeon family and their eldest son, Fallon, with their dragon crest have anything to do with that whispered final word?

Hope you like this newest addition.  I have Chapter 3 begun, but I didn't have enough time (nor wakefulness to finish it properly tonight).  It will be coming soon!

Chapter 13: Want of the yaoi, urban fantasy novel, The Darkening has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  Karidon has hinted to Dylan of impossible, frightening things yet the crime lord seems uninterested in telling the young rocker more at that moment.  Instead, he seems intent on enticing Dylan into his naked and willing arms.  BTW - I already know that you guys are going to be cursing my name when you see where I left it.  Know at least that another chapter is coming this month. Tee hee!

Chapter 12: Lords of the Darkening of the yaoi, urban fantasy novel, The Darkening, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Dylan has felt wings on Karidon Raiken's back.  The only wings he has ever seen like this are on the monsters that haunt the shadows.  Is the crime lord more than just a human criminal, but instead a monster in disguise?

The Darkening: Fall holiday story posted!  In this story, Karidon Raiken requests a private concert for New Years Eve before the party to end all parties at Recluse begins.  Dylan obliges eagerly.  What happens after the music stops ... well, you have to read to find out what that is!

Chapter 8: A Bad Idea of the yaoi, superhero/villain book, The Lightless, has been posted at www.RaytheReign.com!  In this chapter, Damien has been invited to meet with the Ruling Class' insane leader, Joaquin Trask.  He has no desire to open his mind to this man.  Will Cain make him an offer he cannot refuse to seek out the Ruling Class' secrets?

I will try and get the special holiday chapter out tomorrow rather than Friday as I know that many of you will be out on Friday (and goodness knows I'm supposed to be).  But I'm giving myself until Friday just in case.  Remember, this will be a Darkening based story.  With Dylan giving Karidon a private concert!

In lieu of the holiday chapter that was supposed to be on Thursday then Friday and now Today ... I am posting The Hunt manga up until Page 95 and,
of course another page of The Dark Earth Manga.  Sigh.  Christmas has beaten me.  Damn you parties and too many obligations to sit down and write *shakes fist at*.  With the third holiday chapter that WILL happen next week, we will actually be ahead in chapters so don't worry about that, but I had so hoped to really have more done for you.  But I will know next year what to promise and what not to.

I want to thank you, not just for your patience with the current scheduling snafu, but for supporting Raythe Reign this past year.  Our first year.
Our growing pains year.  Your being part of the Reign has allowed me to hire and keep working some incredible artists like Mathia, Jei, Olive, Reed
and others.  Your being part of the Reign has made me a far better writer and has allowed me to pursue all the stories in my head, no matter how bizarre, and get your support. 

There's a lot that's going to happen next year, including a Members Rewards program on individual books, new features such as a vote every month for
what story you would like to have updated with an extra chapter, and much more.  Because knowing me, I'll have some kind of brain storm for
soundtracks or something for the books and you'll be my guinea pigs with that.

But enough!  I must continue to clean and cook (family coming over to have Xmas lunch!) and I'm sure that all of you have plenty of things going on.
